The hotels location is ideally situated between the east and west branches of Grand Traverse Bay. The Downtown Business District of Traverse City is within 1-mile of the hotel and Cherry Capital Airport is only a 10 minute drive away.
Facilities
The Country Inn & Suites is a limited-service franchise hotel located in one of Michigan top tourist destination cities. The hotel features 107 guestrooms & suites and received a complete renovation in 2017. All guest rooms received new carpet, paint, and case goods. The Fitness Center got a new rubber floor, new A/C unit, and new Precor fitness equipment. The lobby got a new tile floor, paint, and furniture. The breakfast area was completely gutted and enlarged by taking out a full room for increased dining/seating and food preparation. The dining/seating area was completely redesigned with new tables, lighting, flooring, TV’s, countertops and cabinets. The food prep area got new metal cabinets, new refrigeration, sinks, flooring and equipment. In addition, ownership updated the hotel signage and the entire parking lot was milled and replaced with new asphalt. Painting of the hotels exterior began last fall and was interrupted because of inclement weather, but will be completed in Spring/Summer 2019.

The Country Inn & Suites by Radisson was built in 1976. It is well-constructed and greatly benefits from its strategic location at the base of Old Mission Peninsula between the east and west branches of Grand Traverse Bay. New ownership will be in a unique position to capitalize on the recent affiliation with Country Inn & Suites by Radisson and the over-the-top total renovation the hotel received.
Attractions
Traverse City’s setting at the base of Grand Traverse Bay makes it a busy resort in all seasons. Winter sports are widely available. In summer the bay provides good sailing and fishing. Traverse City State Park is located 2-miles east of downtown. The area has beaches and more than 30 golf courses, including courses designed by Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Gary Player. Points of interest include Mission Point Lighthouse, Tall Ship Manitou, Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Interlochen Center for the Arts and The Dennos Museum, to name a few. Popular events include The National Cherry Festival and The Traverse City Film Festival.
